We've reached our first goal!
Thanks to the generous donations of our supporters and the Board of Directors we have reached our first goal of $10,000.
With this milestone we are able to increase accessibility to our most in-demand short classes through updated materials and digital resources. Over this next year we will roll out updated versions of:
Teaching Reading (a 20 hour class)
Teaching Handwriting (12.5 hours)
Slingerland Screening (12.5 hours)
At $15,000 we will be able to turn our new digital resources into printed hard copies. That includes our Slingerland Textbook. $15k goal, here we come!

America is in a literacy crisis.
Here at Slingerland we get calls every week from parents who are desperate to find solutions so their children—dyslexic and otherwise—can learn to read. They ask to take Slingerland classes themselves so they can teach their children. Inevitably, they also ask about how to start tutoring other children like their own.
Teachers who live far from a Slingerland summer comprehensive site reach out regularly looking for Slingerland classes near them. They want to learn the Slingerland Approach and need online options.
We are asking for your help today.
Your donation allows educators to receive the highest quality training possible so they can impact the lives of students.
Slingerland is updating its online short classes to reach these teachers and parents. Our short classes were originally designed for teachers in schools, and we must expand these offerings to meet the demands of educators today.
