South Side Fort Wayne - Food & Clothing Drive

Count US IN the first Indiana-based 501(c)3 non-partisan non-profit and movement whose mission is to uplift the voice of citizens and foster more inclusive and equitable political participation and civic engagement, as well as diversify voter turnout. We seek to educate and empower the community as well as show that our voices matter. 

We serve communities whose voices are typically suppressed - Black, LatinX, Asian, Native American, women, LGBTQIA+, those who live with disability, those impacted by incarceration, students, seniors, immigrants, individuals affected by poverty, and members of the working class.

This year, our communities have been devastated by the impact of COVID-19. Through community dialogue and outreach, we have found that that communities living in south side areas Fort Wayne, Indiana specifically are in the most critical need for support. To address this need, our organization will be hosting a holiday food and clothing donation drive to provide mutual aid to our neighbors.

We will be working with Fort Wayne community-based initiatives, Upgrade Our World, who will be cooking and delivering food to families and individuals in need for the winter holidays, as well as “THIS IS FOR YOU”, a community led initiative that consistently sets up in person, stationed food and clothing giveaways to south side residents in need every Friday.
