Springer into Action for heartworm treatment!

Springer was found as a stray by one of our rural shelter partners hanging out on a property just waiting for someone to scoop him up. As he has now found himself the best of homes, we just have one more thing to make his life complete and that is to rid himself of the scourge of Heartworm.

Heartworm disease is a serious and potentially fatal disease in pets in the United States and many other parts of the world. It is caused by foot-long worms (heartworms) that live in the heart, lungs and associated blood vessels of affected pets, causing severe lung disease, heart failure and damage to other organs in the body.
