Save the Animals Foundation has been working to rescue, rehabilitate, and find loving homes for cats and dogs for over 33 years. Saving #JustOneMore means we are committed to the long-term care and shelter for dogs and cats in the tri-state area. Our fundraising efforts on #GivingTuesday mean we can continue our work! 

Funded entirely by donations and operated by volunteers, our no-kill shelter currently homes over 300 dogs and cats, many of whom have been abused, abandoned or literally tossed away. Teams of volunteers work with the animals two shifts a day, 365 days a year, providing them with a safe and caring environment until we can place them in permanent, forever homes. Over the years we have matched thousands of lucky animals with equally lucky families.

We've been there for many, but so many more still need us. We can only do it with your help and support! Every rescue makes the world a bit better - it all matters and we can all make a difference!

STAF would like to introduce this year's spokes cat and dog. 

Upon arrival, Alonzo was a total cuddle bug. He would let you hold him and he would just purr, purr, purr. At that moment, we knew he was destined to be the #GivingTuesday Spokescat. When he went to live in room 23, we saw further evidence that this boy was celebrity material. First, he doesn’t walk around the room, but struts. Second, he is certain to be the first to get greeting pats even if he has to nudge his always needy roommate Sebastian out of the way. Next, he will be passing pawtographs to his adoring STAF fans. Now that Alonzo has had his pearly whites restored to sparkling condition, he is ready to show all our STAF friends & fans why it is so important to save #JustOneMore with your donation on #GivingTuesday.

Fantasia, Fanny, is a mystical creature that brings joy to all around her. Due to heartworm, Fanny has been living with foster parents to ensure a full recovery. She is a definite foodie with a refined taste for pistachios and apples with Boursin cheese. Fanny’s meals must come in a bowl because puzzles are for fun, not for feeding. Sunny days are her best days whether it is napping in a beam or romping in the yard outside. Fanny is not looking forward to winter and rainy days are “ruff,” even with a coat. If you are having a bad day, Fanny is your girl. First, she will fall instantly in love with you, hug you and hug you some more, and then cuddle up with you to chase the blues away. Dogs like Fanny are just one more reason to donate to save #JustOneMore on #GivingTuesday.
