#GivingTuesday | #JustOneMore | STAF 2023

Save the Animals Foundation has been working to rescue, rehabilitate, and find loving homes for cats and dogs for over 34 years. Saving #JustOneMore means we are committed to the long-term care and shelter for dogs and cats in the tri-state area. Our fundraising efforts on #GivingTuesday mean we can continue our work! 

Funded entirely by donations and operated by volunteers, our no-kill shelter currently homes over 300 dogs and cats, many of whom have been abused, abandoned or literally tossed away. Teams of volunteers work with the animals two shifts a day, 365 days a year, providing-them with a safe and caring environment until we can place them in permanent, forever homes. Over the years we have matched thousands of lucky animals with equally lucky families.

We've been there for many, but so many more still need us. We can only do it with your help and support! Every rescue makes the world a bit better - it all matters and we can all make a difference!

STAF would like to introduce this year's spokes cat and dog. 

Mara is a beautiful and spectacularly marked, spunky, happy-go-lucky girl who created a spark in us from the moment she arrived at STAF. We knew she would have to be our #GivingTuesday Spokescat! Mara was rescued by a small rural shelter that was trying to help with a hoarding situation of 75 cats/kittens. She was among the lucky ones that STAF was able to help, as she immediately went into a loving foster home before she came to our shelter. Mara loves to be the center of attention and will climb on your shoulder to say hello! With no volunteer or kitty seeming to be a stranger, this girl has it all; stunning looks, a silly personality, and she is ready for her forever home. Cats like Mara are just one more reason to donate to save #JustOneMore on #GivingTuesday.

Hershey is a Pharaoh Hound who is absolutely stunning with gorgeous eyes - one blue and the other brown - with a rich chocolate brown coat. In addition to being a head turner, she is as sweet and gentle as can be. She loves to cuddle and is happy to roll over for belly rubs as soon as you meet her. Although she had a rough life before coming to STAF, Hershey now knows how to have lots of fun. She enjoys chasing balls and playing with her doggie friends at STAF. She does really well with all other dogs and people! Hershey has become an endearing combination of docility and spunkiness under the loving care of STAF volunteers. Dogs like Hershey are another wonderful reason to donate to save #JustOneMore on #GvingTuesday.
