Build Something Good: Support Girls Rock!

Ok team...2016: IT. IS. ON.

I have to say that this year, I will be supporting organizations that directly combat the forces of destruction, causing pain and sorrow around the world, and those who aid people directly impacted. And I will also be working to BUILD SOMETHING GOOD.

Our sixth year has been a BIG one at Girls Rock! RI.  You made it possible to hire a new staff person, Program & Operations Coordinator, Johanna Walczak. She has single handedly expanded our capacity for programming, enhanced and refined our organization,  and enriched GRR in countless ways.

We ran TWO CAMPS, serving so many more girls. We were able  to split the camps into age groups, allowing for even more innovative, inspiring and empowering, age approprite workshops, along side the mindblowing musical stylings of the amazing bands!

We were still able to offer full or partial scholarships to around 2/3 of campers and we remain dedicated to providing access to our programming, as long as we are around...which we hope is forever!

To our great sadness, we still had to turn some kids away from camp...the demand is that high. So, we are focusing on year round program growth, along with camp growth: group lessons for children and adults, our successful gear loan program (Instruments for all!) and workshops in all manner of empowering subjects.
