Hit by a Car and Left for Dead

A couple on vacation saw something laying on the side of the road - it turned out to be Stanley. He lifted his head, as if asking for help. They scooped him up and raced him to a vet for help. The bone was exposed on one of his broken back legs, all four paws had severe burns, and face was also bleeding. They weren't sure he was going to make it, but didn't want him to suffer.

The vet began treatment immediately and determined Stanley was a fighter. His broken back leg was amputated, his tail had the skin and fur ripped off, and his paws would need treatment. After several days of in-patient treatment, Stanley was ready to leave. But the good Samaritans who found him can't keep him. They turned to Homeward Trails for help. Just like they didn't want him to suffer a slow death on the side of the road, we don't want to turn away a cat who has already overcome the odds. He deserves a happy ending and we want to help him with that.
