Star Desperately Needs Rescued

Star is a gorgeous, 45-pound hound mix that was surrendered by her owner to a rural Virginia shelter due to no fault of her own, where she is extremely shy and scared. Because of her fear, she doesn’t interact with the few people who do come in, making it very hard for her to get adopted. The shelter has a high euthanasia rate, and if she isn’t adopted or pulled soon, she is at high risk for not making it out. When not in her shelter “cell”, she is extremely sweet with people and other dogs. Can you help give this petrified girl out of the shelter and to us, where we can place her in a foster home that will let her heal?
