Welcome to Stough Magnet Elementary! 

Who We Are: We are a sweet and unique school in the Olde Raleigh area. Our public school offers students traditional classes as well as a Mandarin language immersion program and is is home to students across Wake County. Our teachers are incredible, the families are engaging and our students are sweet and eager. No matter what is going on in the outside world at any given time, when you walk through our doors things hit different. All are welcome, safe and valued. 

 What We Do: The Stough PTA provides direct support to the school in so many ways – classroom supplies, books, media center technology, in-school cultural arts performances, an angel charity fund to help our students and families walking through challenging times, and so much more. We are underway with our project to provide extra shading for our campus playspace and this year seek to invest in strengthening our connections inside and outside of our school.

We can only fund these things with the support from our community. This year’s event will take place on Friday, October 25 and our goal is to raise $30,000 through sponsorships and student fundraising efforts. We need you! 

What is Fun Run?: Our students look forward to Fun Run every year! Fun Run week begins with DAILY prize drawings at the end of each school day. Students raising 1 penny or more are eligible! On Fun Run Friday students hit the playground for a warm-up led by Kicks Tawkwondo and then run/walk/dance around the playground loop. Grownups are welcome to cheer on their Stallions from the sidelines. Students end their session with a popcicle dance party and all Stallions (students and staff) go home with a Fun Run t-shirt and goodie bag. This special event brings our whole community together and it is moving to see how proud our students are of their school and those who support it.
