I became director of Windcall Institute because our movement organizers intensely need space and time for healing to be effective.

Twenty years ago...

I ran an international fellowship program for young community organizers, that happened to be located across the hall from the Windcall office. I was so stressed from learning to run an organization that my friends lobbied for me to get a Windcall Residency. I turned down the offer thinking it impossible to get away from the mound of responsibilities. Sound familiar?

A few years later...

I burned out and could not afford to take any time off. I took on other job opportunities and continued on, healing as best I could here and there. Some time later, I found myself squeezing the last of my batteries once again. I traveled to my native Argentina for a few months and realized I needed to be serious about caring for myself if I wanted to fulfill the change I wanted to make in the world.

Now...

When I stepped into leadership at Windcall Institute I fully committed to a path of healing. I love creating spaces for reflection and transformation for those in the front lines of social justice struggles. Especially now. We are all grieving the continual loss of Black and Brown lives in the US and around the world. And we need to regain our sense of purpose rooted in love.

So I am asking you to support the Windcall Insititute by donating today. Help me reach the campaign's goal of $7000.

Your contribution will support more residencies for organizers, a team of coaches to support them, and Staying Power webinars and workshops for movement organizations.
