CSCP Summer Season of Support

“A place where you no longer have to pretend you have strength…” That’s how Caroline described her Family and Friends Support Group at Cancer Support Community Pasadena.

          In February 2016, Caroline’s husband, Steve, was diagnosed with nose cancer. “I was filled with fear, but cancer brings unexpected gifts,” says Caroline. “We received the gift of Cancer Support Community Pasadena, where we could share our deepest feelings and fears in an empathetic group with shared experiences.”

At Cancer Support Community Pasadena, we know anyone on a cancer journey – as a patient or a supportive friend or family member – can often feel overwhelmed and fearful. Our passion is serving those on a cancer journey so that no one faces cancer alone. That’s why we offer 12 Support Groups every week, all free of charge.

          On average, each Support Group costs $25,000 for a year – and every Support Group is only possible because of your support. Our goal for the 2019 Summer Season of Support is to receive enough donations to fund one Support Group for the next 12 months.

          Please make a gift to our 2019 Summer Season of Support.  Your gift will be put to work immediately, ensuring a Support Group is available for cancer patients, caregivers, children who have a parent with cancer, young adults, survivors or those working through grief after losing a loved one to cancer.
