40% of the 36,000 Holocaust survivors in the NYC area live below the poverty line. These survivors struggle to get by from month to month on meager assistance from the Claims Conference that does not fully cover the cost of food, heat, rent, doctors' visits & medication.
COVID-19 has left many survivors alone in their apartments without the home health care aids or meal delivery they have come to rely on.
Let’s help assure that survivors do not need to brave a trip to the grocery store or pharmacy at a time when it is safest for us all to shelter in place.
Please join me to raise funds through the Giving Back Fund for the NYC agencies that deliver food, medical and home care for frail, vulnerable Holocaust survivors living on very limited incomes.
Together we can keep our promise to never forget and never abandon Holocaust survivors, especially at time when isolation is an absolute must.
