Ecuador is one of those places that I’ve heard the name of hundreds of times but have never given much thought to. Maybe it’s the same for you? When I was given the option to spend 8 weeks of my summer in this country, it's safe to say I was nervous saying yes. Through some research, a lot of documentary watching, and blog reading, I cannot wait to immerse myself in this country! I will be working with Manna Project who has been helping local communities for years now, supplying basic needs to the children and adults in various regions. Through teaching English, cooking classes, exercise classes and female empowerment classes (which I am particularly excited about!).
