What a year! For almost all of us, 2020 has been about adapting and figuring out how to continue prioritizing what’s important to us and to those we serve.

We planted and tilled, we learned and taught, we tended and reaped. This year, we distributed more farm fresh food to the homes of Madison families than we ever have, we found ways to make garden education possible during the pandemic, and we strengthened collaborations that help us continue to rise to meet the needs of our communities.

Whether eating vegetables harvested from their own garden plots or enjoying food that we delivered, you helped to put fresh vegetables on tables thanks to your donations, visits to our farm stands, and support at our plant sales.

We anticipate that people’s desire to join Troy Farm, start a community garden plot or home garden, and participate in virtual/online programming will continue to grow in 2021. So, you’ll see us expanding upon this year’s successes to increase food access and growing opportunities across Madison and Dane County.

This winter, we will continue to support and work with our friends and partners in Madison's Northside and South Side communities. As the growing season winds down and we put our gardens and farms to bed until spring, we look forward to continuing to work together to meet the needs and wants of our communities.
