Every month, our Trails UP team hits the road to travel up to 6 hours away to Virginia's most under-resourced communities where the animals and the people who love them are desperate for our services and programs.
Free Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return for cats, getting dogs of chains through fence build projects, bringing in animals with urgent medical needs and providing food and outdoor shelter - it ALL improves and saves lives in areas that no other organizations are offering these services.
Without Homeward Trails, thousands of kittens will be born outdoors, animals will suffer and die from illness and injury and people who try to care for them are faced with decisions like whether to purchase their own food and medicines or food for their outdoor kitties - heartbreaking, but real choices.
Donations to these efforts bring suffering to an end and help decrease the homeless animal population in real time every single month.
