Our Mission

Bootstrap Entrepreneurs Inc., DBA Texas 1000 Project, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing small business technical assistance and entrepreneur development.

We believe entrepreneurship is a powerful pathway to economic mobility. By expanding access to business education, technical assistance, capital resources, and strategic partnerships, we help entrepreneurs build stronger, more sustainable businesses.

Our work strengthens the small business ecosystem while building the capacity of entrepreneurs to start, structure, fund, and scale businesses that create jobs, generate wealth, and strengthen communities.

Why It Matters

• 80% of minority-owned businesses fail within the first 18 months — not because of lack of vision, but because of lack of access.

• Many aspiring entrepreneurs can’t afford even the basics: legal formation, business credit setup, or technical training.

• Without support, these ideas never turn into enterprises that can fuel long-term economic growth.

The Texas 1000 Project steps in to remove those barriers and guarantee access to opportunity.

Looking Ahead

• Expand our LLC Grant Program to launch 25+ new businesses in 2027- 2028.

• Scale our Capital Ready Certification Program to certify 100 entrepreneurs.

• Host community-based pitch competitions and summits in Dallas, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio.

• Continue providing mentorship and 30–90 day follow-ups to ensure entrepreneurs succeed beyond the classroom.
