Tommy Bryant
Transplant Type: Double Lung
Tommy Bryant is awaiting a new lease on life. In June of 2019, he was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. There is no family history of lung disease, and his illness is thought to have been caused by exposure to corrosive chemicals. Tommy now requires the assistance of supplemental oxygen in order to breathe. Doctors say a double-lung transplant is critical to his survival.
During such a difficult time, Tommy is thankful for the love and support of his family and friends. He has two children, and his first grandchild is due later this year. His illness causes his family a lot of worry. Tommy looks forward to receiving a transplant that will save his life and free him from supplemental oxygen. He enjoys saltwater fishing and playing guitar in his band, but his health prevents him from doing those things now. He wants nothing more than to have a second chance so he can have more years with his family and be able to live his life to the fullest. But right now, he needs your help.
The average double-lung transplant costs more than $1 million, and that’s only the beginning. Even with health insurance, which will cover a portion of the transplant costs, he faces significant expenses related to the surgery. For the rest of his life, he will need follow-up care and daily anti-rejection medications. Post-transplant medications are very expensive, and they’re as critical to his survival as the transplant itself. Tommy’s declining health forced him to stop working, further adding to his financial burdens.
You can help by making a tax-deductible donation to NFT in honor of Tommy. If you'd prefer to send your gift by mail, please send it to National Foundation for Transplants, 3249 W. Sarazen’s Circle, Suite 100, Memphis, TN 38125. Please be sure to write "in honor of Tommy Bryant” on the memo line.
Thank you for your generosity!
