Timmy Hoyle
Transplant Type: Kidney
Timmy Hoyle is fighting for his life. In July of 2018, Timmy’s health started to fail but it wasn’t until June of 2019 that the doctors finally diagnosed him with end stage renal disease. Unfortunately, Timmy is all too aware of how serious his disease is. His grandfather died of kidney failure.
During such a challenging time, Timmy is thankful for the love and support of his friends and family. His disease has progressed to the point where he now requires dialysis, a process that takes quite a toll on his quality of life and leaves him very tired, and his doctors have told him that he needs a kidney transplant. He looks forward to receiving a transplant so he can once again live a normal life and enjoy something as simple as drinking as much water as he’d like. But right now, he needs your help.
The average kidney transplant costs approximately $414,000. And that’s only the beginning. Even with health insurance, which will cover the cost of the transplant, he faces significant expenses related to the surgery. For the rest of his life, he will need follow-up care and daily anti-rejection medications. Post-transplant medications are very expensive, and they’re as critical to his survival as the transplant itself.
