What if you received a second chance?

Tim Vallely has a new lease on life. A year and a half ago he was diagnosed with a life-threatening liver disease. His diagnosis came as a shock, as there is no family history of liver disease. His health declined rapidly, and doctors said a liver transplant was critical. Thankfully, Tim received a transplant on February 5, 2020!

Tim is thankful for the love and support of his wife, Dee, and their family and friends. He has two children, and a grandson, and his illness has prevented him from being the active husband, father, and grandfather he longs to be. Tim looks forward to recovering from his transplant so that he can feel like himself again and have more time with his family. He enjoys camping and spending time with family and friends, but his illness has prevented those things for a while. Tim is ready to put his health issues behind him so he can enjoy life with his family and resume the activities he once enjoyed. But right now, he needs your help.

Unfortunately, Tim’s new life comes at a very high price.

The average liver transplant costs more than $812,000, and that’s only the beginning. Even with insurance, which covered a portion of the transplant costs, Tim still faces significant expenses related to the surgery. For the rest of his life, he needs follow-up care and anti-rejection medications. Post-transplant medications are very expensive, and they’re as critical to his survival as the transplant itself.

Tim lives 70 miles from the transplant center, and traveling back and forth for appointments has been expensive. Now that he has received his transplant, he has had to temporarily relocate to be nearby the transplant center while he recovers, incurring substantial expenses for travel, food, and lodging. Tim’s health forced him to stop working, further adding to his financial burdens.
