Housing is healthcare - without it, people get into cycles of homelessness, addiction, and more.
XDS, Inc., in collaboration with UNC Chapel Hill, broke ground yesterday to build a community of tiny homes that will provide affordable housing for individuals with severe mental illness and veterans. Their mission is to empower individuals with multiple disabilities to live in the community of their choice, achieve personal responsibility, and gain an enhanced quality of life.
Given the Tiny Homes Village’s strong potential to significantly advance the continuum of care of clients living with severe mental illness, it has rapidly gained traction, and it’s clear that this initiative will have a significant impact on XDS - everything from administration to infrastructure to donor relationships will change.
In order for XDS to effectively and efficiently continue to run its organization, it’s imperative to implement a continuous improvement strategy that advances its processes and strengthens capacity -- taking it to the next level and maturing all aspects of the organization. We are raising capacity building funds and general operating expenses for XDS, Inc. to work on the following:
Board infrastructure and governance
Brand analysis and strategy
Systems for relationship management (e.g. partners, donors, volunteers, and more)
Staffing and succession planning
Thank you in advance for your consideration!!
