COVID-19 has disrupted our communities in many ways, leading to a devastating impact on education, which continues to plague our most vulnerable neighbors.
This educational disruption has exacerbated the already existing disparities of the digital divide and socioeconomic inequity.
As TIP families transitioned to virtual learning, the obstacles to regular school attendance have only grown, as most TIP students lacked a regular internet connection and access to appropriate technology.
Many children have lapsed in their schooling as families have fallen out of the routines necessary for regular school attendance and engagement, resulting in significant learning loss.
