Manhattan Project National Historic Parks (MAPR), Los Alamos Arts Council, and Friends of MAPR are bringing our first partnership to fruition in August of 2024. Filmmaker Irene Lusztig will be presenting her feature documentary, "Richland" August 8th-11th at Fuller Lodge and the Los Alamos Little Theatre in Los Alamos, NM. In addition to the showings of this award winning documentary, Lusztig and her team will be in residence at Fuller Lodge Art Center as part of a joint Artist in Residence pilot program for MAPR, LAAC, and Friends of MAPR. This residency will bring a new dimension to the programs at LAAC and for MAPR and will continue what has been an informal, but impactful, partnership between LAAC and the MAPR programming staff.
Your donation will be used to help with the cost of Ms. Lusztig's residency as well as to provide supplies and materials for her work on site at Fuller Lodge Art Center. Completed works will also need to be made accessible in the form of transcriptions of the spoken word components and captioning for any audio/visual project. Funds raised beyond the project needs will be used to begin the process of funding a residency for 2025 as well as for operational support for Friends of MAPR and the LAAC.
