TRANScend 2020

Give Out Day is a national LGBTQ+ philanthropy month, and organizations who get the most people to give just $10 have the chance to win an extra $10,000.

TRANScend is a gathering specifically designed for and by trans and genderqueer folks to teach each other, self-organize, create paths of resilience, redefine resistance, heal, socialize and deepen our social justice movements. We need you to make a donation today to support this important work!


TRANScend prioritizes Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) in our leadership and at our events.


Due to the COVID-19 pandemic TRANScend will be moving to a virtual platform, for the safety of our communities. Because of  a variety of issues facing multiple trans led organization, many of our funding streams have been diverted or have dried up entirely. It is very important to us and our communities we serve that we have access to a virtual retreat this year.

The funds we raise will allow up to a hundred folks to come gather online, over a two day period, in early Fall 2020. We will have online workshops and virtual healing sessions. There will be plenty of time to kiki, network, organize, and share resources. Also, we will be bringing back our annual TRANScendent Talent Show, which is always a huge hit among our attendees!!!  

As we continue to see the violence and harassment continue to increase and target our black trans women and men, it is extremely important that trans folks have a place to gather, heal, and organize. Last year our retreat was more than 50% Black and 2/3 BIPOC. We stand in solidarity with BLM and Black Trans Lives Matter. Our Virtual retreat will prioritize black trans folks in all aspects of organizing. This is a core value we hold as lead organizers.  We ask you to support our work and the liberation of black trans folks.


All funds raised will be used to support:

*Stipends for organizers of the Virtual retreat and Fall programming

*Stipends for Virtual Workshop Presenters and Healers (prioritizing BIPOC)


Having this financial support will ensure TRANScend's 4th Annual Retreat is able to serve a deeply diverse group of folks across lines of race, ethnicity, gender, and class. It is more important now than ever for trans and genderqueer folks to have this safe space to come together as community to organize and retreat!
