Travis Eastwood

Transplant Type: Liver

Travis Eastwood is fighting for his life. He was recently diagnosed with end-stage liver disease. His diagnosis came as a shock, as there is no family history of liver disease and he is only 22 years old. His condition causes him a significant amount of pain and takes a toll on his quality of life. Doctors say a liver transplant is critical.

During this difficult time, Travis is grateful for the love and support of his fiancée, Alina, and their family and friends, including his daughter, mother, father, sister, brother, and godson. Travis’s illness prevents him from being active with his family. He is frequently hospitalized, but even when he is at home, he is confined to bed and in pain. Travis used to enjoy cooking, going to the beach, spending time with his daughter and godson, and time with his family—but his health prevents those activities now. He looks forward to receiving a transplant that will save his life and allow him to feel like himself again. Travis wants nothing more than to be healthy so he can have quality time with his family, resume a more active lifestyle, and live his life to the fullest. But right now he needs your help.

The average liver transplant costs approximately $812,000, and that’s only the beginning. Even with insurance, which will cover a portion of the transplant costs, he still faces significant expenses related to the surgery. For the rest of his life, he will need follow-up care and expensive anti-rejection medications. Post-transplant medications are as critical to his survival as the transplant itself.

Travis lives 75 miles from his transplant center and traveling back and forth for appointments can be expensive. When he receives his transplant, he will have to stay nearby while he recovers, incurring substantial expenses for travel, food, and lodging. Travis’s health prevents him from working, further adding to his financial burdens.
