Trevor Van Dahm
Transplant type: Kidney
Trevor Van Dahm is fighting for his life. At the age of 7, he was diagnosed with renal scarring and was told he would need a kidney transplant before his 20th birthday. Remarkably, Trevor's kidneys surpassed doctor's expectations permitting him to live a relatively normal childhood without dialysis. In 2019, at the age of 29, Trevor received the long awaited and devastating news that he was in stage 4 end-stage renal failure. Further complicating his situation, he was furloughed from his job
in March 2020 due to COVID-19. As if this was not enough, he was also told that the possibility of dialysis could be in his future. Doctors say a kidney transplant is necessary for his survival.
A native of Chicago, during this difficult time, Trevor is grateful for the love and emotional support of his parents, brother, sister-in-law and nieces. He is also thankful for the physical and social support of his friends. He is looking forward to returning to work and living an independent life again where he has the energy to socialize with his strong network of family and friends. Right now, Trevor needs your support.
