Growing Tiyul-Rihla in 2018...

Founded in 2011, Tiyul-Rihla-Trip (T-R) has since organized over 20  local trip programs for mixed groups of Palestinians and Israelis. As a  bi-national educational initiative, T-R draws on the local landscape to  explore issues of narrative, history, and identity at the root of  conflict.

$25 provides scholarship for one trip participant

$100 covers overnight accommodations for 2 Palestinian and 2 Israeli participants

$250 for 1/2 day bus rental, bringing participants to educational sites & destinations

$500 hires expert local guides and speakers for a full trip

The support of many generous friends and supporters makes it possible for our project to:

- Host seminar for professional tour guides from both Palestinian and Israeli sectors

- Visit an emerging local tourism initiative in Um el-Khair, South Hebron Hills

- Walk the streets of Bethlehem, hearing stories of King David

- Tour a Kibbutz, discussing the motives and tactics of early Zionism

- Share Ramadan iftar in Jericho with participants from Gaza

- Hear from Bedouin leaders in Rahat about the intersection of Arab, Israeli and Palestinian identities

- Discuss refugee identities and dreams

... and so much more. Our participants even made the news!

We are a team of Palestinians and Israelis who believe that the more people in our region confront and understand how others relate to history, culture and identity, the greater the possibility of achieving a just resolution to conflict.

As our programs continue to disrupt cycles of violence and hostility, we depend on the generosity of people like you. Your contribution today will make the following initiatives and many more possible in the coming months:

- New trip itineraries on both sides

- Focused seminars for target audiences (including another program for guides!)

- Expanded partnerships in the field

- Development of multiple narrative resources for key sites
