No Dog Ever Deserves to Live on a Chain

Poor Trix has lived his whole 5 years of life tied up on a chain. He has endured bitter cold as well as sweltering heat with no reprieve. Living life on a chain is not only lonely and isolating, but also extremely dangerous as well. Chains can easily twist, leading to accidental hanging, not to mention it make dogs very easy targets for predators. It is hard for any animal lover to imagine being tied to a post for years with no option to move or run and being subjected to living in your own filth. Thank goodness Trix, a cattle dog beagle mix, was given up to a rural VA shelter. This was the first time he had ever known freedom, or even the comfort of sleeping under a roof with heating and air conditioning.
