Along the way ...
As we walked past Reid Golf Course yesterday, a man in his driveway smiled and asked, “Are you a real Scotsman?”
I didn’t give him the risqué answer, but smiled and said hello. He went on to say that his first golf partner was from Scotland, and that he was a true friend.
And later, as we walked home from Telulah Park (where the steam locomotive is displayed), we passed dog walkers and couples along the Fox River Trail.
One couple stopped us and said they were supposed to be in Glasgow right now, but like us they had canceled their trip. We took a photo together (keeping a little bit socially distant) and as we went our separate ways said, “Next year in Scotland!”
I hope you’re enjoying this virtual tour as much as I am. Please share this page with anyone you think might enjoy it, too.
Thanks for your support.

We were supposed to be on vacation in Scotland May 1-15, which meant we would miss the annual Sam I Am “Tumors I Do Not Like Them” walk/run to benefit the Littlest Tumor Foundation.
We were bummed, because we love the great work that LTF does. But because of COVID-19 we had to cancel our trip.
So I’ll wear my kilt and take a walk for the Sam I Am event here at home instead. Each day I’ll choose a local place to visit that’s sort of like a Scottish attraction we had planned to see.
I’d like to raise $50 a day for 15 days.
Take a walk with me on my “Tumors (and Pants) I Do Not Like Them” adventure, and let’s help out a very worthy cause!
