A shelter worker who frequently feeds the stray animals locally had been feeding and monitoring a calico kitty for a week. It became clear that the place the cat once called home no longer existed, and she found herself abandoned on the streets during the coldest winter of her lifetime. Over the week while being fed, her condition declined, and it became urgent to take her in. Molly was frozen, matted, exhausted, and had the biggest tick the shelter staff have ever seen. Another day or two on the streets hoping her family would come back would have led to serious frostbite on her ears & paws - if she even made it through another glacial night. Now that she knows she is safe and finally feeling warm again she is showing the shelter team a very affectionate side. Molly is a beautiful, fluffy calico kitty ready for a home that will not let her down again.
