USEE Earth Day Every Day 2020

Environmental education allows all of us to see and understand the many connections that exist in our communities and the world. There has never been a more important time for EE and the Utah Society for Environmental Education is the champion for EE in Utah. Your support will help us continue to elevate the field of environmental education. 

As the state affiliate of the North American Association for Environmental Education, USEE ensures that all Utahns have access to quality environmental education and that professionals in the field of environmental education are supported. 

 Some of our recent efforts include: 

• providing key support to ensure the passage of the Utah Every Kid Outdoors Initiative
• working with Utah legislators to gain support for the National Environmental Education Act - this is the first time since 1991 that NEEA has had Utah support
• providing quality professional-development programs for over 250 educators
• awarding organizations, individuals and youth for their contributions to environmental education

We are embarking on some major efforts in 2020, including making the field of EE in Utah more equitable, creating resources and training that align to the new Utah Science with Engineering Education Standards and developing a Utah Environmental Literacy Plan.
