At RMFR, we believe every cat deserves a place to meow home.
RMFR's Mission is to provide a safe haven for cats and kittens with exceptional medical care including life-saving surgeries and a robust foster program by a team of devoted staff and volunteers, while working with nationwide partners in high impact areas to reduce euthanasia rates and homeless cat populations. The accumulation of our work does not end when a cat is adopted; instead, we move our cat loving community forward through education, low cost vaccinations and a compassionate rehoming program.
As a socially conscious limited intake shelter, RMFR has established a series of partnerships with high impact shelters and rescues nationwide and aims to be part of the solution to cat overpopulation through spay/neuter solutions to incoming cats, and adoption to the cat loving Denver community. RMFR is also dedicated to providing extensive medical care and adoption possibilities for FIV+ and FELV + cats.
We are working to build a better future for RMFR cats and kittens. In 2020, we received a $10,000 programmatic grant from the Orphan Kitten Club to provide specialized training and supplies to help our most vulnerable, orphaned and neonatal kittens under 12 weeks.
In 2021, we evolved our established grant program to apply for funds that will directly assist our most in-need cats and seeking funding to increase our clinic capabilities, including but not limited to a dental X-ray machine, vaccines and other medical supplies.
As we approach our 40th year as an organization, we are excited to continue to build our life-saving capacity and increase community partnerships for happier, healthier cats, and successful adoptions that lead to 20 years of bonds.
