LIGHT OF THE WORLD RUN 2020

Right now, with almost 3 million confirmed cases of COVID-19 and countless more who are affected, the impending financial crisis, and the social justice upheaval, many have lost loved ones and many more are feeling hopeless about the current political climate. The world is going through one of its greatest periods of uncertainty, pain, and darkness.

 “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” -John 8:12

The ultimate solution is to bring the light of Jesus: HOPE, JUSTICE, and LOVE to our local communities and our brothers and sisters around the world. 

Despite all the turmoil of 2020, this has also been a time of great unity as people are banding together to take care of one another, providing resources to those in need, as well as awareness and empathy among all communities in our nation. We stand with our essential workers, the families suffering all kinds of loss, and the fight against racial injustices!

In order to further this mission, the NYC International Christian Church is coming together to raise money for missionary-relief and new church plantings domestically and internationally! Foreign missionaries are especially impacted during these times, due to lack of access to essential needs like food, water, and shelter in the midst of the pandemic. Domestic ministries need our support and resources to build up their communities and create safe spaces of healing and hope.

Before the run, you will receive a LIGHT OF THE WORLD 2020 T-shirt that you can wear on your run. We invite you to run for hope, justice, and love. Despite the turmoil, our love grows deeper and we run for all of those affected by these traumatic issues physically, emotionally and spiritually. Our love burns bright and we shine brightest together as the LIGHT OF THE WORLD!
