WELCOME and THANK YOU for visiting my fundraising page with APIENC!
If you know me, you probably know that I am a) in community with Asian, Pacific Islander, immigrant, queer, and trans folks and b) not comfortable asking for things from others. My fundraising goal is trying to tend to both these areas of growth. Thank you for considering supporting me and contributing to APIENC's work.
I am energized by APIENC's community of organizers, teachers, activists, and artists and its dedication to train people in the margins to lead in our own lives and communities. I am participating in APIENC's leadership exchange program and training, and I have been moved by the collective cultural work the facilitators and members have done to collect queer, trans, and API histories, to build community, and to train advocates for a more just world where we keep each other safe.
Please check out APIENC's website (https://apienc.org/) to learn more about their specific projects and values. "Through our values, APIENC's role is to build alternatives - real solutions - that are centered in our communities, build self-determination, and promote healing and restoration for the land and the people. All of our programs are led by QTAPI members who are directly impacted by the issues we address." APIENC's core programs include: leadership development, trans justice, Dragon Fruit programs (collecting QTAPI oral histories and building intergenerational community care), ecological justice, and movement building.
THANK YOU.
