$100,000 goal

In October 2019, Working Bikes entered it's 20th year of operation! Amy Little and Lee Ravenscroft started Working Bikes, then located in a small garage, back in 1999 and have continued to volunteer with the organization for two decades. To honor Amy and Lee's investment, Working Bikes created the Founders' Facilities Fund.

Contributions to the FFF go towards capital projects around our 19th century brick warehouse. We're getting started on improvements with two major projects in 2020 -- (1) tearing off and rebuilding our roof and (2) tuck-pointing the building's exterior-- that will cost almost $100,000. These improvements are essential for our organization. They are necessary steps before we can become (1)  energy independent with a solar array on the roof and (2) a more visible community institution with vibrant murals attesting to the bicycle empowerment enabled across the globe by Working Bikes.

Most donations to the FFF are made by check and can take advantage of the $20,000 dollar for dollar matching fund offered by an anonymous donor. At the end of February, 2020, generous donors had contributed $30,000 towards our goal. To make a donation directly and avoid processing fees, contact Board President phil@workingbikes.org or call our office at 773-657-8419 and ask for Trevor or Steve.
