100 @10 in 5 - Family and Friends

DEAR fAMILY AND fRIENDS,

My goal is to get 100 people to give. I am asking you to be a giver to support the work of Windcall. When you give money it goes to support community and labor organizers doing the work in communities like yours.

Most of my family and friends really struggle trying to understand what community organizers do. I can only say what I have been trying to do and that is - "get people together to take collective action to shape their own destiny." If you have ever tried to do this with your family, your chruch, your co-workers, your club etc., then you know it is not easy. When community organizer open the box on one problem, they often find that problem linked to a bunch of other problems. Often community organizers succeed, quit or burn out after a few years.

With your help and the work of Windcall, we maybe able to keep providing opportunities for community organizers to get renewed and gather the strength to keep them engaged for the "long haul" in the work they do.

Many of us enjoy the benefits of work done by community and labor organizers such as - the 8-hour work day, Civil Rights Act, Women Suffage, and a host of other benefits we now take for granted.
