This year has challenged the rights of victims in new ways.

The National Crime Victim Law Institute (NCVLI) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization working nationally to protect, enforce, and advance victims' rights.  NCVLI has been working hard in the face of the pandemic to make sure victims’ rights are upheld—despite the upheaval of daily life and protocols in the justice system—so that…

  • No victim has to choose between their privacy and testifying against their rapist when the hearing is going to be livestreamed on YouTube livestream to potentially be seen by millions;
  • No victim needs to scramble for resources and too hastily put together a safety plan because they just heard their offender is being released early due to COVID-19;
  • No victim is denied their right to be present at a proceeding because of social distancing; and
  • All victims are ensured that their voices will be heard, their rights will be upheld, and their safety considered.

Your donation ensures that we are Writing the Next Chapter of Rights for victims: continuing to provide critical services for victims' rights enforcement no matter the circumstances!
