Help Make a Difference in Uganda!

Update: Thanks to a large donation by the Marine Reconnaissance foundation we have met our goal! At this time any extra funding will be used to purchase blood pressure cuffs, and stethoscopes which will be given to rural Ugandan Health Teams. I also would ask anyone that has any BP cuffs or stethoscopes that they are willing to donate contact me. Thank you all for the support!

Welcome to my fundraising page! I am excited to announce an upcoming volunteer trip with Omni Med to Uganda this summer. This journey is a unique opportunity to contribute to healthcare initiatives and help create lasting health solutions for the people of Uganda.

Since 2008 Omni Med has been working as a non-profit that helps the people of Uganda by training and educating village health care workers. The village health workers are not compensated for their efforts, but work diligently to learn from volunteers with Omni Med and help increase the quality of life for their communities. 

As a student passionate about healthcare and service to others, this volunteer opportunity holds immense value. However, embarking on this journey comes with its financial challenges. That's why I am reaching out for support.

Your generosity can play a vital role in making this experience possible. By donating to fundraising efforts, you'll not only be supporting this brief trip, but also investing in the well-being of the Ugandan communities for years to come. 

Additionally, donations made can be used for tax deductible purposes. 

Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant impact. Transportation to Uganda is about $1,300, while the rest of the cost will go towards operating costs that directly support the education of the Ugandan Village health teams. Together, we can make a real difference and create lasting change. Additional support received beyond travel and basic operations costs will be utilized towards other projects. In the past these have included cook-stoves to reduce toxin exposure for communities, water purification tools/projects, and oral rehydration solutions.
