Cherry suddenly became lethargic and not her normal cheery self. Upon visiting the vet for a check up it was discovered through lab work that she was severely anemic and rushed to an emergency vet for a life saving blood transfusion and in-patient care. In addition to hemolytic anemia, Cherry was also treated for an upper respiratory infection. After a course of medications, Cherry seems to be on the mend but will need some follow up tests to confirm if she has a chronic condition. The blood transfusion and in-patient hospitalization were expensive and unexpected costs incurred to help save this sweet feline. Please consider a donation today so we can continue to save other animals in need.
