Tai Chi at the Refuge

The San Francisco Bay Wildlife Society is a Friends group for the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Our staff and volunteers work to bring in new audiences that may not have visited the Refuge before through unique programming opportunities. Last year we were awarded a grant from the Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority to provide instructor facilitated Tai Chi classes, free of charge, at the Environmental Education Center (EEC) in Alviso. 

These proved popular and met our goal: most participants had never been there before. Positive feedback included feeling more connected to nature and enjoyed having a relaxing experience. Help us continue this community outreach and engagement approach!
