This YC-141B "Starlifter" SN 66-0186, located at the Aviation History & Technology Center, took its first flight on April 6, 1967. In 1977, this exact plane was the first to be "stretched" by over 23 feet, which allowed for more cargo space. Today, this aircraft is in need of restoration. After moving to the Museum's site in 2009, some work as been done but only now have we been able to give this aircraft the focus it deserves.
