YCC supports individuals and families impacted by domestic and sexual violence through safety, advocacy, and resources on their journey to safe and healthy lives.

We provide support and services 24/7 to individuals who are experiencing domestic violence or sexual assault.

An experience of a domestic violence survivor:

• Tiffany and her two children felt trapped in their own home with her abuser.
•  Tiffany called the domestic violence hotline at YCC and was able to escape with both her children. They stayed in the shelter for several weeks as Tiffany applied for a new job and housing. With the assistance of her advocate, she received a protective order and found freedom from the fear that had been such a large part of her life.
• The classes at YCC helped Tiffany to see clearly through the fog of confusion she had been living if for the past 7 years. It helped her to put words to what she had experienced. It was empowering to talk with others who had gone through what she had. She realized she wasn’t alone, and that there were people who understood what she had gone through and was going through.
