I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with family, friends and giving Thanks.
Last week, The National Reentry Network for Returning Citizens continued our annual tradition of providing Thanksgiving Meals for our clients, members, and staff. This means so much to us because there are so many of our brothers and sisters that are without the joy of having a home-cooked Thanksgiving meal surrounded by loved ones.
As a leading nonprofit on reentry, The National Reentry Network for Returning Citizens is right now engaged in the most critical time of our 11-year history. Our mission is to build a strong, national network comprised of individuals returning from incarceration who support each other’s successful reintegration. We use a client-centered approach to identify basic needs and to create a continuum of care that can address barriers to reentry, promote restorative practices, and reduce recidivism. This makes us one of the best suited organizations to support and donate to on this Giving Tuesday.
The holiday season is just beginning. Tomorrow, Tuesday, November 30th, is #GivingTuesday—a global day of giving—and this year, we are proud to be involved and hope you’ll give to the National Reentry Network for Returning Citizens.
Your donation will help returning citizens with Supportive Reentry Housing, Ready4Work, Peer Navigator/Mentoring, Family Reunification, clothing, transportation, food, and other survival related needs, including Covid-19 PPE.
As we embark on the upcoming year, our plans are to continue growing our network of returning citizens while organizing, training, and community building to better prepare for this new journey.
