The ZAMI NOBLA NC State Chapter exists to create spaces where older Black lesbians are not only welcomed, but deeply valued. Through programs, gatherings, celebrations, wellness activities, leadership opportunities, and intergenerational connection, we help our elders stay connected, supported, engaged, and visible. We provide opportunities for friendship, laughter, healing, advocacy, and joy—because no elder should have to age in isolation.
At our gatherings, women reconnect with community. New friendships are formed. Wisdom is shared. Stories are honored. Members who may have felt alone discover that they are part of a vibrant and loving sisterhood that sees them fully.
The goal of ZAMI NOBLA is not just to survive—but to thrive.
