A Sober Living Home in Centennial, CO working to help women in recovery get their lives back!

Hello :)

My name is Erin Rasmussen, Creator and Director of Zen Mountain Sober Living for Women. I opened Zen Mountain to do one thing, and one thing only - to help women in recovery create their new lives in a safe and supportive setting.

Operating a sober living is very cost intensive, and while I wish I could offer all the women in my house a bed for free, I can't. There are many many women I get calls from that are deserving of a spot in my house. Unfortunately though, by the time they sought help, they had lost everything they had and oftentimes, their family has just shelled out a ton of money on inpatient treatment to get them healthy. What most people don't see is that getting healthy is only half the battle. The other half is STAYING healthy. That's where sober living comes in.

I am asking for donations to offer the most deserving, motivated, and dedicated women who literally have nothing to move into the house and spend one month there at half or no cost to them, depending on their situation. These "sponsorships" will only be given to women with the greatest chances of success. They have to have completed an inpatient treatmeGoalnt program and have recommendation from counselors or case managers to be sponsored. They are asked to write a letter to us describing their motivations for sustained recovery and why they should be chosen. The number of women we can offer this opportunity to depends on the size of our fund, and we will make every dollar count!

It is not just the "high bottom" addicts and alcoholics that should be able to take advantage of high-quality sober living. No matter what their "bottom" looked like, they deserve a chance. And this particular chance might be the difference between life or death.

Even if it is only a dollar, I appreciate your help from the bottom of my heart. And so will the woman whose life you change.

Sincerely,

Erin Rasmussen
