WOW – We have been completely honored and humbled by this amazing experience and for all of the support and encouragement we have received.  Thank you for those that have donated funds, spoken words of encouragement, dropped us notes, prayed for us, and pushed us to such a successful outcome!!  We have been inspired beyond words and are beyond thankful!

Join me as I use my body to raise $20,000 for two outstanding charities!

My name is Brian Hubbard and I am honored to serve as Deputy Chief for the Crystal Police Department (MN).  And here’s my challenge - I will be doing 18 run or duathlon races through the course of 2018.  That’s one race approximately every 6 weeks – over 150 miles (plus all of the training workouts to prepare for these).  These races will include 5K runs, 10K runs, and run/bike duathlons throughout Minnesota.  In addition to the number of races, my additional challenge will be that I will be doing all of these races IN MY FULL POLICE UNIFORM!

That’s 22 extra pounds of gear while running/biking.

I’m raising this money for two very worthy charities.  The MN Law Enforcement Memorial Association (LEMA) focuses on supporting surviving family members of peace officers who have given the “ultimate sacrifice” in the line of duty.Cornerstone focuses on working to end domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking in the community.  Here’s some additional information about these great organizations-

*MN LAW ENFORCEMENT MEMORIAL ASSOCIAITON (LEMA) - MN LEMA exists to: 1) Provide assistance to the law enforcement community and others and to surviving family members of peace officers who have given their lives in the line of duty; 2) Perpetuate the memory of all peace officers who have sacrificed their lives for the safety and security of all Minnesota citizens; 3) Meet the greater needs of Minnesota law enforcement through continued global support and partnerships with those that support and recognize the daily sacrifices of those who have or currently serve and protect our communities. www.mnlema.org/

*CORNERSTONE - Cornerstone’s ultimate goal is to reduce the prevalence of: 1) Domestic violence; 2) Sexual violence; 3) Human trafficking. Healthy futures are possible when we coordinate an effective crisis response, implement trauma-informed support services, mitigate the impact of violence on children and youth, and confront the roots of violence.  www.cornerstonemn.org/
