Georgia Tech Delta Sigma Phi × Dress for Success Atlanta – Giving Tuesday Support
The Georgia Tech Chapter of Delta Sigma Phi is proud to support Dress for Success Atlanta this Giving Tuesday with a fundraising goal of $1,000. Our fraternity believes deeply in the power of community, leadership, and building a future where everyone has the opportunity to succeed. Dress for Success Atlanta embodies those same values by empowering women to achieve economic independence through professional attire, career development, and ongoing support.
As men committed to service and positive impact, the brothers of Delta Sigma Phi recognize the importance of standing alongside women as they pursue their goals. By supporting Dress for Success Atlanta, we hope to champion confidence, equity, and economic mobility for women throughout our community. Every dollar raised helps provide the tools, resources, and encouragement women need to thrive personally and professionally.
Together, we can help open doors, change trajectories, and strengthen Atlanta’s workforce—one empowered woman at a time.

About Dress for Success Atlanta
Dress for Success was founded in New York City in 1997 and has since grown into a global movement, with affiliates in more than 142 cities across 20 countries. The mission remains steadfast: to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and development tools to help them thrive in work and in life.
Here in the metro area, Dress for Success Atlanta serves serves approximately 700 women each year—many of whom are heads of households or single mothers—by equipping them with the resources, confidence, and skills to achieve lasting economic stability. Our programs not only prepare women for the workforce, but also strengthen families, uplift communities, and create ripple effects across the region.
Our Programs
Career Readiness & Life Skills - We offer workshops and classes (in-person and virtual) that cover resume building, interviewing, digital literacy, financial planning, and leadership skills—providing women with tools for both work and life.
Interview & Employment Suiting - Clients receive complete interview outfits—including shoes and accessories—and up to five additional professional outfits once employed. Beyond attire, clients learn workplace etiquette and how to present themselves with confidence.
Professional Women’s Group (PWG) - A post-employment networking and professional development program, PWG provides training in communication, financial literacy, leadership, work–life balance, and career advancement. This peer and mentor-supported community ensures long-term job retention and growth.
Wraparound Support Services - Recognizing that barriers such as childcare, transportation, and food insecurity often prevent women from maintaining jobs, DFSA connects clients with community partners and resources to help them overcome these challenges.
When women are empowered, families thrive.
•Economic Impact: 1,000 women finding jobs at a conservative rate of $40,000 annually shows an economic impact of direct wages of $40,000,000. Now consider these women now have access to healthcare and children are attending school on a regular basis. These children are 50% less likely to experience housing insecurity.
•Reduction in Public Cost: When mothers earn a steady wage (like the $40k modeled), families are lifted above the federal poverty line, reducing reliance on social services. Every mother employed full-time saves taxpayers $8,000–$12,000 annually in public assistance, shelter, and emergency healthcare costs.
•Child Development: Children of employed mothers demonstrate higher rates of school readiness and achievement, with studies linking maternal employment to a 10–15% improvement in reading and math scores in early grades due to stability and access to resources.
•When women gain economic power, they tend to invest a large portion of their income back into their families and communities.
