Give 8/28 Day - Your Support Transforms Lives

Covenant House Missouri is on a mission…a mission to end youth homelessness!! 

This year’s Give 8/28 Day theme is resilience; a message that deeply reflects the journey of our youth and our community. In May, a powerful tornado hit St. Louis, disrupting lives and damaging parts of our campus. But through it all, our young people, staff, and community remained strong with commitment to rebuild tornado damaged areas and continue the amazing work

Give 8/28 Day is more than a day of giving; it’s a celebration of the strength and perseverance of Black-led, Black-serving organizations like Covenant House Missouri. At Covenant House Missouri, resilience is something we see every single day.  Youth ages 16-24 walk through our doors after facing homelessness and unimaginable hardship.  And Black youth have an 83% higher chance of reporting homelessness in the United States than their white peers.  

With your support on 8/28 Day, we can continue to provide shelter, counseling, nourishing food, life skills training, transitional living, advocacy, and support to all youth facing homelessness, even in the face of crisis. Together, we rise stronger, more united, and more determined to ensure every young person has a safe place to sleep, heal, and grow.
