At Bridge Bread Bakery, we believe that a job is more than just a paycheck—it’s a bridge to dignity, stability, and a new life. On Give STL Day, you have the power to help our bakers continue their journey from homelessness to self-sufficiency.

Most of our bakers come to us from local shelters, seeking a way to support themselves. By learning the craft of artisan baking, they aren't just making incredible sourdough and cinnamon rolls; they are reclaiming their independence.

Why Give STL Day is Critical for Bridge Bread

As a social enterprise, we work hard to sustain ourselves through bread sales. However, the cost of intensive restorative employment—the hands-on training, personal mentorship, and patience required to help someone transition out of homelessness—goes beyond the price of a loaf.

Your donations today directly fund:

  • Wages for New Bakers: We hire those who others often overlook, providing immediate income.

  • Skills Training: Mastery of commercial baking equipment and food safety certification.

  • Life Support: Helping our team navigate housing, transportation, and the hurdles of re-entering the workforce.

The "Dough" Makes a Difference

Every dollar contributed on Give STL Day helps us keep the ovens warm and the opportunities rising.
