Somehow—somehow—instead of creating a noise complaint, four strangers created a band.
THE GIG
Brand-new bands. Two months. Three original songs each. One epic showcase.
Here's how it works: participants sign up, get organized into bands, and write songs while raising money for Lehigh Valley Girls Rock. Some have never touched an instrument before—seriously. LVGR provides mentorship, lends gear, and watches them transform into rock stars. Bands compete for prizes like custom merch, photo shoots, and studio time. Everyone wins when they hit the stage on December 13th at National Sokols in Bethlehem, PA.
What's LVGR?
Lehigh Valley Girls Rock is a nonprofit empowering cisgender girls and women + trans and nonbinary folks through music and art. Band Factory funds their flagship program: Get LOUD Camp.
What's Get LOUD Camp?
One week. Ages 10-17. Campers form bands, learn instruments, write original songs, and perform live—all while attending workshops on self-care, social justice, and community building. LVGR teaches kids their greatest power is being themselves.
Why They Need Your Help
This year, scholarship requests hit an all-time high. Over half the campers needed financial support. LVGR never turns anyone away for money reasons, which means they rely on community support.
The Goal: $10,000
This covers camp costs (venue space, staff, instruments, supplies) so LVGR can keep expanding:
- Youth leadership programs
- Let's Rock Camp (the adult version)
- Get LOUD Fest (celebrating gender inclusivity in music)
- After-school band mentorship
- Year-round workshops and community events
One day they'll run two camp sessions and have their own permanent space. They're building toward that future right now.
Support a band. Change a life. Rock on.
