The 25th Annual PlayOffs is part theater competition, part fundraiser, and all fun.  So much fun, in fact, that we're celebrating its 25yr anniversary as one of Bloomington's biggest fundraisers for the arts!

Teams of writers, actors, directors, and managers create an original 3–5 minute play. Along the way they raise money to support Constellation Stage & Screen, earn special advantages through fundraising, and compete for audience votes.

Every play premieres at The World Series, our live screening and awards celebration, where one team is crowned champion.

One team emerges victorious: The World Series Champions.  This is the team with the most combined votes earned through an audience ballot (popular votes) and fundraising (bonus votes).  So the more money each player raises, the better the chance they have of winning the coveted championship trophy!

Thank you so much for donating to Constellation Stage & Screen. This organization has been a tremendous outlet for a goofy gal like me. I learned about Constellation Stage & Screen a year ago after I took my first improv class. Like a crispy Lay’s potato chip, I couldn’t just take one class so I took two more! I’m eager to take more classes outside of improv and to improve my craft as a performer. 

Words can’t explain how beneficial Constellation Stage & Screen has been for my personal growth. My confidence has soared. I’m no longer afraid to jump into the deep end and put myself out there. To heck with being embarrassed and hiding my true colors! I celebrate my weirdness and originality. 

Constellation is a safe place that embraces my creativity and lets my imagination run wild. There are very few places in this world that are safe havens for “weirdos” like me. Whether it’s supporting me in The Playoffs, enrolling in a class, or taking in a live show, I highly encourage you to experience Constellation Stage & Screen for yourself and do what you can to support community theater in Bloomington!
